Kenneth M. Beach

I grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in a neighborhood where my relatives lived within two miles of my home. One lesson I learned in that close-knit environment is that trust is built through consistency and showing up when it matters. That Midwestern foundation has shaped my 45-year career in financial services with the following: I believe that while technical skills are essential, the human element is what drives successful outcomes for the people I work with.

Over four decades, I have observed that fear is often a more powerful motivator than greed. While many focus on chasing returns, my role is to help clients manage the anxieties that come with wealth such as the fear of making a wrong decision, the fear of market volatility and the fear of outliving one’s assets. My job is to help reduce that stress and build portfolios that can live with and assist in ensuring that financial strategies are resilient enough to weather market cycles and changes through life.

I co-founded Cascade Investment Group, Inc. because I wanted to build a practice where relationships matter more than transactions. My goal is to know my clients well enough to understand what keeps them up at night and then tailor advice to them. We focus on providing specific solutions rather than one-size-fits-all products.

My wife, Anne, and I moved to Colorado Springs for access to the outdoors and we have taken full advantage. I fly fish, bird hunt, golf, bike, garden, listen to a lot of music and play pickleball.

The mountains are a long way from Cedar Rapids and I have found a deep sense of community here. Today, I serve on the Board of Directors at Cheyenne Village to support developmentally disabled adults. In the past, I served in leadership positions on the boards of the Pikes Peak Library District, the Pikes Peak Library District Foundation, the SIA Foundation and the Colorado Springs Executives Association.
